Catalog - Modify Existing Details or Upload Variants

Whether you need to update details on an existing product or create a new variant based on an existing style, our catalog tool makes it simple. Follow the steps below to ensure a smooth update process.

The following article is for the new Loupe 2.0 application.

✏️ How to Modify Existing Product Details or Create Variants

  1. Navigate to the Catalog
Go to the Catalog section from the main menu.

  2. Search for the Style Number
Use the search bar to find the product you want to edit by entering its Style Number.
Tip: If you’re creating a variant, search for the product you want to base it on.

  3. Export the Product Details
Click the Export button at the top right corner of the screen.

  4. Edit the Exported File

    • Open the exported spreadsheet.

    • Modify the fields you want to change (e.g., product name, price, availability).

    • If you’re creating a variant:

      • Change the Variant Code (Style Number).

      • Update other relevant fields such as color, size, or material.

  5. Re-import the Updated File
Once you’ve completed your changes, re-import the file using the Import option in Jobs.
Ensure you upload your new images before uploading the file

⚠️Variant Code (Style Number) is a unique identifier.

If you do not change the Variant Code, your update will overwrite the existing product data.

To create a new variant:

  • Duplicate the row in the spreadsheet

  • Update the Variant Code

  • Modify any attributes that differ (e.g., color, size)

✏️ How to Make Modifications for Multiple Items

If you need to update more than one product at a time, follow the same steps outlined above. However, instead of exporting a specific Style Number, export your entire catalog. This gives you a complete overview of all products in your catalog, making it easier to:

  • Locate and isolate the items you need to modify

  • Apply changes in bulk

  • Re-import the updated file back into the system in one go

To export your full catalog:

  1. Navigate to Jobs from the main menu

  2. Click Create Job

  3. From the Process Type dropdown, select Catalogue - Export

Once the export is complete, download the file, apply your changes, and import it back as described above.
