Image - Import

Image Import is a job that gives a supplier the ability to import sample images to Loupe

The following article is for the new Loupe 2.0 application.

Import Process

The process for importing images to Loupe is simple. Just navigate to the Jobs page, and select Upload Images. When you do you will be presented with a modal giving you the ability to choose images to import. As you start to add images you will see the image count and total file size limits populate. When you have chosen all the files you want to import, simple select Upload Images.

Note that file names are case insensitive, and Loupe will adjust the file name to be in lowercase format during the import process.

Image file names must be unique. It is a good practice to name your image files similar to the respective code of the related sample. If you upload an image with a file name that already exists, then that existing image will be overwritten with the new image, and all related sample will be linked to the new image as well.

Linking Process

Loupe automatically links images with catalog data that you have imported to Loupe. This is done by matching the file name of the image, and the value entered in the appropriate column of the catalog import file. For example, if you want to match and image with file name gold-band.jpg with your Gold Band sample variant, then just enter gold-band.jpg under the column variant_image_file_name_1.
