This article explains how an enterprise buying user can choose the purchase method they want a SKU to begin with when adding any new product into their assortment.
Enterprise retailers can buy their products either on Asset or Memo terms which varies based on the commercial agreement between buyer and seller on a product by product basis. With this feature, buyers can now choose which purchase method they want to assign at the start of the product journey. Find more information about Asset / Memo pricing here
Follow the below steps to choose your purchase method:
Navigate to Samples > My Samples and click Convert to Product from Sample Detail Page or via Batch Action:
Next, on the Convert to Product modal that opens on your screen, complete all details including desired purchase method.
Helpfully, the system will always remember your previous selection, making it faster next time round for you to complete.
📖 Vendor Pricing Dependency:
This feature will only work for Memo purchase method if your vendor has already provided memo pricing.
Vendors can set this to be automatic (same as Asset) else they need to quote on a product-by-product basis.

The product will now appear on top of your Linesheet > Active tab with your choice of Asset or Memo purchase method ready for you to proceed in your assortment.
💡 Helpful Tips:
- If you choose Asset, a new row will appear in the Active tab of your Linesheet with this purchase method.
- If you choose Memo, 2 rows will appear in your Linesheet, 1 as Memo in the Active tab and 1 as Asset in the Archived tab.
